Legal Assistance Disaster Relief Grants

Contact Paul Doyle, Director of the Legal Assistance for the Poor/Law Student Assistance grant programs at pdoyle@flabarfndn.org

Legal Assistance for the Poor Disaster Relief Grants are one-time emergency grants designed to respond to disasters which compromise the capability of Foundation-funded legal assistance programs, negatively impact the safety and well being of a significant number of low income families and persons and/or impose a significantly increased need for legal assistance on such families and persons.  When the President of the United States declares a geographic area in Florida a disaster area, grant funds may be available, on a limited basis, to assist Foundation-funded grantees serving such area to repair and expand service capacity and to respond to increased legal needs due to disasters.
